New Jersey Governor Willing to Let Patients Suffer

Gov. Chris Christie, New Jersey,  said for the first time Thursday, May 27, 2010 that he supports New Jersey’s medical marijuana law and has no plans to make it more restrictive, a reversal of statements he made as a candidate last year.  A Governor Christie spokesman, Michael Drewniak said the governor believes New Jersey’s medical marijuana law “is very good as written.’’ However, Governor Christie has has said he wants to delay the kick-off of the medical marijuana program until January or July 2011, Drewniak said today.

Which is it Governor Christie? It is my understanding that  the bill your predecessor signed in to law states that it shall be effective on June 12, 2010.

34         19. This act shall take effect on the first day of the [12th]

sixth month after enactment, but the commissioner

35         and the Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs

36         may take such

37         anticipatory administrative action in advance thereof as        may be

38         necessary to effectuate the provisions of this act.

Chris Goldstein of Philadelphia Norml recently reported on this issue saying, “Medical marijuana advocates point out that with the support of the Governor Christie and the ranking given by Dr. Alaigh there should be no cause for any delay in putting the law into place. As passed, the law stated that draft regulations are to be issued by July.” Read his entire article here: http://www.examiner.com/x-29881-Philadelphia-NORML-Examiner~y2010m5d28-NJ-Gov-Christie-supports-medical-marijuana-law-ill-residents-wait

My Wish for our dear Governor Christie…
Live just one day inside my body or the bodies of other’s who suffer each and every day due to a illness.. I myself am and alway’s have been a NON Drinker… In my twenties i was plagued with Grand Mal Seizure’s.. Now today, many year’s later the medication that i was given for the seizure’s has been destroying and killing my Liver..
Now i deal with that and all that goes with it.. It’s not pleasant Governor Christie, you could not do your job, or live a quote normal life.. I support NJ making this medically available..
Do you know how many people will suffer less.. Have relief!! Get smart and wake up…
