Here is What’s Happening

MMAG has been through the gambit in a mere 11 months! As of now, MMAG as an organization is temporarily suspended. I would, however, like to help individuals as we have in the past.

I am looking for executives to fill the committee. I am also getting back to the roots of this organization: EDUCATION!

Email if interested in rebuilding MMAG

It’s tragic that the MM community has been content to sit back and have it’s rights taken away with so little organization. Don’t get me wrong, the intentions of this site and other groups are great – but only if they are active. I’m no different – I don’t have the time to donate to the cause with the personal demands of work and family. We all have livelihoods to try to maintain in this terrible economy. And therein lies the solution: livelihoods. MMGA and other groups like MMAG have to organize enough to be able to raise money to pay someone to do this organizing work – MAKE IT SOMEONE’S LIVELIHOOD. Other industries do this – it’s called lobbying. If the growers would have chipped in, they could have hired an individual or company to manage the messaging.

Months ago I contacted Tom Daubert and the local MMGA rep in an effort to find out if anyone was organizing to do this type of thing. I couldn’t even get a returned phone call.

I know a very talented professional film producer here in Bozeman who would be willing to produce some very compelling ads/messaging if we could raise the money to air them.

Idea =a publicity campaign on facebook, or any other means, for all mmj patients in Montana to begin donating $10 per ounce to a secure fund reserved for legal fees. Any growers within the assisciation would be able to access these funds in the event of another federal intrusion.

I believe you are referring to MMGA. I need to get in contact with them and post a hyperlink to their site. Having said that, I believe that is a great idea. Growers, care givers, and patients need protection from unreasonable persecution. Thanks for the post Jason Carr.
