Leadership
Alexander Young – Founder/Chair
Texas
My name is Alexander Young, and I am the Founder and Chair of MMAG. The reason I created this organization is to help educate the public about safe medical alternatives derived from Cannabis. We are out to make a change, and we will not stop until the medicinal use of Cannabis has been legalized in all states.
Jim Costabile
New Jersey
After 35 years in public education, I retired to a life of carefree travel and relaxation. While researching alternative medicines, having my dream retirement was put on hold, I came across MMAG. The Group seemed to be striving for what I thought was a noble cause.
During those years as an educator, I was very active in professional organizations. It was through these professional organizations that I gained governance experience and served as a lobbyist for nearly 20 years both within the state and at the national level. I was also involved in writing grants and organizing political action committees.
I hope to be an asset to MMAG and, bring with me training and experience.
Mik McAllister – Editor-in-Chief
Washington
My name is Mik McAllister, and I have recently been brought on board to act as MMAG’s Editor-in-Chief. My chief duties are making sure that content on the site is being updated with information relevant to, and of interest to, our members and other readers.
I have been a writer since the age of 12, and an activist since the age of 17 (my first foray into politics brought me face-to-face with a double-barrel shotgun). I put myself through several years of college editing other people’s papers, with a guarrantee of raising their grades, and never had to issue a refund.
I currently live in the state of Washington with my partner. I am active on a number of issues, including improved health care options for all US citizens. I also write articles on various subjects for different websites, and am working on several novels simultaneously. I am happy to contribute my expertise, logic, reason, sense of style and propriety, and ethics to the MMAG.
